About Keswick 
Keswick is the main holiday centre in the northen part of the Lake District.
It has everything to offer scenically. It is close to Derwentwater "Queen
of the English Lakes", the widest lake in the Lake District.
Keswick is dominated by the majestic mass of Skiddaw, one of Englands
highest peaks, and one of the oldest mountains in Europe (450 million
years old). In addition it also has a market, which has been held on a
Saturday for the last seven hundred years, excellent shops, fine restaurants
and sporting facilities.
Around Keswick
Within 1 hour's drive of Low Briery there are many other attractions
which you may wish to visit. All the many lakes, including Windermere,
Ullswater,and Bassenthwaite Lake are within easy reach. Also attractions
such as the homes of William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Keswick and
it's Lake - Derwentwater, lie at the foot of the Borrowdale valley, surely
the most beatiful valley in England.
For hill walking enthusiasts, Englands highest mountains, Scafell Pike,
Helvellyn and Skiddaw are on your doorstep.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed at Low Briery. There are plenty of excellent
walks running by the village.
